Former Navy Commander Ravindra Wijegunaratne, who is accused of aiding and abetting a suspect in the case related to the abduction and disappearance of 11 youths in and around Colombo in 2008, appeared before the court today.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges against him. Colombo Fort Magistrate Pasan Amarasena subsequently ordered his release on two sureties of Rs. 1 million each.
The case is scheduled to be recalled for hearing on December 9th.
