Evidence called in the case against Keheliya

The case filed by the Bribery Commission against former Minister Keheliya Rambukwella and former Chairman of the State Printing Corporation Jayampathy Hinkenda was taken up for hearing again before the Colombo High Court today (18).

Further evidence was recorded in the complaint under the direction of the Bribery Commission. The court then ordered that further evidence be adjourned until June 13.

The Bribery Commission has filed the case against former Minister Keheliya Rambukwella and former Chairman of the State Printing Corporation Jayampathy Hinkenda, alleging that they caused a loss to the government by paying their personal mobile phone bill of nearly Rs. 240,000/- from the funds of the State Printing Corporation during their time as the Minister of Mass Media.

The case was called up before Colombo High Court Judge Sujeewa Nissanka.
