It was revealed in Parliament today that senior police officials had been informed about a test explosion carried out by the group led by Saharan Hashim on April 16, 2019 in Talankuda area before the Easter Sunday bombing.
Responding to an oral question asked by Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP Hector Appuhami in the House, House Leader Susil Premajayantha said that former Director of Intelligence Nilantha Jayawardena informed the then Inspector General of Police Pujith Jayasundara and Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police Ravi Seneviratne about the explosion. This information was also given to the then Secretary of the Ministry of Defence.
