A discussion between representatives of the National People’s Power (NPP) and US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu was held yesterday evening at Galle Face Hotel.
American Ambassador to Sri Lanka Julie Chung and NPP Member of Parliament Vijitha Herath, NPP Executive Committee members Nalinda Jayatissa and Wasantha Samarasinghe participated in this meeting.
It is reported that the current economic situation in Sri Lanka, the intervention of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), ensuring the integrity of the electoral processes and the security situation in the Indian Ocean region were discussed there.
