Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officers have recorded statements from the wife and son of IGP Deshabandhu Tennakoon, who is currently evading court proceedings.
According to sources, the CID has visited Tennakoon’s house in Hokandara to collect information from his family members.
Earlier, the Matara Magistrate’s Court issued an open arrest warrant, ordering the police to immediately arrest Tennakoon wherever he is and produce him in court.
Meanwhile, police investigations continue to search for the former IGP.
