According to the Association of Health Entomologists, the number of dengue cases is increasing rapidly. The president of the Health Entomologist association, Nijith Sumanasena, told the media that the highest number of patients in the island are reported from the western province.
He further stated that the main reason for this is the 20% increase in dengue mosquito breeding in home-related ecosystems.
