The Court of Appeal has ordered acceptance of 37 rejected nominations for the local government elections.
The order was issued today when the Court of Appeal anonounced its verdict on the petitions filed regarding the rejection of nominations for the 2025 local government elections.
Petitions were filed by recognized political parties and independent groups challenging the rejection of their nominations on the grounds of failure to submit certified copies of birth certificates, failure to submit a formal affidavit and submission of only photocopies of birth certificates.
