The Ministry of Labor and Foreign Employment has now started the work of obtaining public opinion to change the labor law of Sri Lanka, which claims a history of over a century. But the drafting of related laws has not yet started.
But these days, rumors are spreading on social media that mislead the public about getting those views. Labor Commissioner Prabhat Chandrakirti has complained to the Inspector General of Police to immediately investigate these misinformation publishers as the public may be misinformed about the amendment of labor laws due to these misinformation campaigns.
