Club Wasantha Murderer Loku Patty Remanded

The Nugegoda Magistrate’s Court today ordered that “Loku Patty”, a criminal gang leader accused of the Club Wasantha murder, be remanded until the 4th.

That was when the suspect was produced before the court today after completing his detention orders.

Sujeewa Ruwan Kumara de Silva, alias “Loku Patty”, who is accused of the Club Wasantha murder, was arrested in Belarus and brought to the island on May 4. Subsequently, further investigations were conducted by the Western South Crime Division.

Accordingly, the investigating officers who detained and questioned the suspect for 90 days revealed a number of important information regarding the firearms and property in his possession.

Although his 90-day detention period was due to end on the 4th, investigating officers produced him before the Nugegoda Magistrate’s Court today, where he was remanded until the 4th.
