Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus, has canceled its annual Christmas celebrations due to the war between Israel and Hamas.
The city of Bethlehem is located in the West Bank now occupied by Israel. It is reported that Bethlehem, which is usually filled with pilgrims at the end of December, has taken on a nature devoid of pilgrims due to the heat of the war.
The Washington Post reports that the average number of pilgrims coming to Bethlehem during the Christmas season has dropped to less than a thousand per day and that Christmas was canceled this year against the genocidal war.
