It has been revealed that the majority of the samples of the chemical stock that was excavated while buried in a land in the Thoraya area of Middeniya contain methamphetamine.
However, the National Dangerous Drugs Control Authority has stated that they do not contain narcotics or psychotropic drugs under the Vishawargala Opium and Dangerous Drugs Act No. 41 of 2022. This has been confirmed by an examination conducted by the National Dangerous Drugs Control Board using the said samples.
The relevant report has now been handed over to the Western Province North Crime Division.
