The director of the hospital has informed the director general of health services in writing that the caesarean section of Kalutara Teaching Hospital will have to be stopped due to the non-availability of the heavy marcaine needed to perform the caesarean section.
In a meeting of specialist doctors held in that hospital on the last 11 days, it was discovered that the hospital has only 17 doses of the relevant vaccines. Those doctors have indicated that it is enough for two days only.
