Bombay Motai is prohibited

The sale of Bombay Motai (cotton candy) has been banned in several states of India.

According to foreign media, it was confirmed that Bombay Motai contains a carcinogenic substance called Rhodamine-B from a sample test conducted on the reason for the ban.

Earlier this month, India’s Puducherry region also imposed this ban on the sale of Bombay Motai, and other states in India are now reported to have started sending the same samples for testing.

The food safety officer of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, told The Indian Express that the contaminants contained in Bombay Motai can cause cancer and affect all organs of the body.
