Body of garment worker who went to drop someone off on a motorbike is found in a ditch

The Homagama Police have found the body of a person suspected of being murdered in a canal in the Galahena area of ​​Pitipana, Homagama this morning (16). The police suspect that the murder was committed in an auction land located near the canal.

The police have found a pair of shoes and a Rs. 20 note suspected to belong to the deceased person in the auction land. The police also said that the face of the body has been disfigured beyond recognition due to being eaten by animals.

The Meegoda Police have received a complaint that a resident of Samagi Mawatha, Pitipana, Kadanawatta, Homagama has been missing since last night (15) and the police say that the information mentioned in the complaint and the information of the murdered person are very similar.
