Hollywood actor Val Kilmer, who played roles in popular films including Top Gun and Batman Forever, has died, foreign media reports. He was 65 when he died.
Kilmer’s daughter Mercedes confirmed in a statement that her father died of pneumonia in Los Angeles. “He was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2014. But he was able to recover from it,” she added.
He most recently reprised his role as fighter pilot Iceman in the 2022 film Top Gun: Maverick opposite Tom Cruise.
“See you again, my friend. I miss you,” American actor Josh Brolin wrote on his Instagram account with a photo of himself and Kilmer.
