Basil, who has been evading the courts for a year, has contradictory medical reports.

It was stated at the Matara Magistrate’s Court today that former Minister Basil Rajapaksa had booked air tickets to come to Sri Lanka today (21) and then cancelled them.

This fact was revealed when the case regarding the purchase of a land in the Browns Hills area of ​​Matara using ill-gotten money was taken up.

The respondents in this case are former Minister Basil Rajapaksa, his wife’s sister Ayooma Galappathi, her husband Tissa Galappathi and Muditha Jayakody.

When the case was taken up, former Minister Basil Rajapaksa and his wife’s sister-in-law Ayooma Galapathi were not present in court, while their sureties were present in open court.

President’s Counsel Anil Silva, appearing for Basil Rajapaksa, presented a document containing several medical reports of his client to the court.

Attorney Lakmini Girihagama, appearing for the Attorney General, who studied the medical reports, pointed out several contradictions in the medical reports regarding the suspect’s medical condition.
