Shakib Al Hasan, the former captain of Bangladesh, said that he believes that the ”Bengal Tigers” have the ability to perform well and win in the second Test match to be held against Sri Lanka.
Najmul Hossain Shanto-led Bangladesh suffered a 328-run defeat at the hands of the Sri Lankans in the first match of the two-Test series in Sylhet. The Bangladesh team will be ready to get rid of that humiliation in the second Test match to be held in Chittagong from March 30.
Shakib, who was out of the Sri Lankan series claiming to be suffering from an eye problem, expressed his desire to rejoin the team after his country’s defeat in the first Test match. At the same time, the Bangladesh Cricket Board decided to name him in the squad for the second Test.
“I always hope we win. I believe we have to play well against Sri Lanka and win the Test against them,” he told the media before leaving for Chittagong to join the team for the second Test.
