Asela Sampath, Chairman of the National Consumers’ Front, said that all information about businessman Dudley Sirisena’s business history and the privileges he received will be revealed to the country in the future.
He made this statement in response to recent statements made by entrepreneur Dudley Sirisena criticizing politicians and the media.
Using the Freedom of Information Act, Asela Sampath said that he is ready to reveal the amounts of concessional loans that Dudley Sirisena received from state banks from the Mahinda Rajapaksa regime to the Maithripala Sirisena regime.
“The politicians who gave him concessional loans from government banks to help him build his business have now become miserable. Don’t just climb the ladder by lying,” he further emphasized.
Addressing a function held recently, Dudley Sirisena had stated that certain politicians and media institutions who are not aware of the problem regarding paddy prices have made it a subject of constant discussion and that they bring this topic to the fore every six months by presenting baseless arguments.
Dudley Sirisena also said that this situation has been going on for 78 years and that no one who talks about paddy prices during the harvest season has proper knowledge of its real situation.
