Two people, including an army soldier, have been arrested by the Kadawatha Police for possessing a hand grenade.
The three-wheeler in which the two suspects were travelling was inspected by police officers at the Mahakade Junction area. The officers were able to find the hand grenade there.
The suspects arrested are two individuals aged 30 and 44, residents of Gonahena, Kadawatha and Elpitiya. The Kadawatha Police are conducting further investigations.
