Another $250 million from the World Bank to Sri Lanka’s dollar account

State Minister of Finance Shehan Semasinghe states that the World Bank has given Sri Lanka an amount of 250 million US dollars. The Minister of State mentions this in a tweet.

Of the 700 million dollars approved to be given to Sri Lanka by the World Bank, 250 million dollars have been released.

Of the total amount of 700 million dollars, 500 million dollars will be used as support for the budget, and the remaining 200 million will be allocated for social security activities. According to the report, half of the amount allocated for budget relief is available today.
