Priyasad Edirivarna, a veterinarian who worked at Ridigama Safari Park, released a video on his social media account saying that Ridhiagama Safari Park is the biggest animal slaughterhouse in Sri Lanka, and in that video, he says valuable rare animals such as elk, wild boar, deer are killed for meat.
He says that he has taken all possible measures against it and informed all the authorities up to the Ministry Secretary.
Dr. Priyasad Edirivarna says that after stealing kilos of meat from the animals and making baits, and drinking kasippu which is stolen and strained from the fruits of the animals, he gave death threats to the keepers of the Ridhiagama Safari Park and he was transferred to the Ministry of Agriculture without a successor.
