An accident occurred when a van collided with a train at the unprotected railway crossing on Ratnayake Road, Wadduwa, Talpitiya. The local residents had to work hard to save the young lady who was there because the van got stuck in the locomotive.
This van collided with a slow train traveling from South Kalutara to Maradana. It is reported that the person drive the van managed to be saved with minor injuries, but the woman on the left was stuck between the train and the van for almost an hour.
Later, she was admitted to Panadura Hospital for treatment, and her leg was injured in the accident. Troops of Kalutara’s fire brigades and police officers are worked together with local resident to save the girl.
