Air Force decides to regulate drones.

The newly appointed Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe, has said that flying drones without regulation can have dangerous consequences and the sector should be regulated.

The Air Force Commander made these comments while addressing the media after visiting the Kandy Dalada Maligawa and the Mahanayakes of the Asgiri and Malwatte chapters.

He said that the use of drones should be regulated as soon as possible to avoid a serious situation in the future.

He stated that the Sri Lanka Air Force is working with the Navy to protect the country’s territory using helicopters as additional support, and that the Sri Lanka Air Force can assist in combating the entry of illegal drugs into the country, refugees and illegal fishing activities.
