A fire broke out at the tea powder production section of the Nallathanniya Laxapana Estate, a tea factory under the Maskeliya Plantation Company, at around 1:00 am on the morning of (09), according to the Nallathanniya Police.
The fire that broke out in the tea powder production section spread to the storage room where the finished tea leaves were stored, causing extensive damage to the packaged finished tea powder.
The fire, which was spreading, was controlled by the estate workers of the estate from spreading to other sections of the tea factory. The estate workers of the estate are alleging that this fire is suspicious. The Nallathanniya Police are conducting investigations into the fire.
