A resolution has been passed in Parliament to ban Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa from Parliament for a period of two weeks.
Parliamentarian Premanath Dolawatta submitted this proposal to the Parliament on the allegations that he provoked the members of parliament of the ruling party by using indecent words as the leader of the opposition. The proposal was approved without a vote in Parliament.
Accordingly, the speaker is scheduled to take a decision regarding the parliamentary ban on the opposition leader. During the budget debate, Mr. Sajith Premadasa made strong accusations against the ruling party on several occasions
