A project started by Harsha during the good governance era was inaugurated yesterday by Modi

MP Harsha de Silva says that the Dambulla Agricultural Warehouse, which was started during the good governance era in 2019, has been renamed and inaugurated today by the Indian Prime Minister.

He made this statement while posting on his social media account.

I am sincerely happy about the inauguration of the Dambulla Agricultural Warehouse.

”Today is another historic day in my life. This is because the work on the temperature and humidity controlled agricultural warehouse complex that we started in Dambulla was completed and it was inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi and President Anura. This is a victory for the country. I am sincerely happy about it. We had even prepared the necessary business plan to take this forward. Due to the defeat of the good governance government, we were not able to complete this project. Later, those who came to power had no real desire to complete the work here.

I believe that this government will benefit from the business plan we have built. We started this as the country’s first temperature and humidity controlled agricultural storage complex with a capacity of 5000 metric tons to store and manage the farmers’ vegetable and fruit harvest when needed. The then Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Taranjit Singh Sandhu, participated with me to start the construction work here.

We named this program, which was built with a grant from the Indian Government, as “Prabhaswara – An Innovative Turnaround in the Farmer’s Life.”
