The All Ceylon Port Public Employees’ Restraint states that if a program is not announced to increase the salaries related to the next three years, they will start a professional action to work to the letter from the 28th of this month.
Niroshan Gorakana, General Secretary of the Union, said that he sent a written message to Minister in charge Nimal Siripala de Silva about this and the problems faced by the employees.
He said that since the salary agreements signed in the year 2021 will end on the 31st of this month, a new salary agreement should be signed for the next three years from January 01, but it has not been possible to prepare the salary increase agreement yet.
