Education Minister Susil Premajayantha said that it has been proposed to prepare a common national education non-academic staff policy for all educational institutions including government and provincial schools.
He said this while attending the Education Non-Academic Employees Day celebration organized by the Education Non-Academic Employees’ Union, which was headed by the Minister of Education.
In preparing the new policy, the ministry expects to implement it through a public service constitution based on the policy, including employee transfers, employee salaries, leave and disciplinary investigations of academic and non-academic staff working in the education sector.
