Yesterday (18), a group of youths, including President of Galle’s “Ape Dhamma Foundation” Priyantha Vijaya Wickrama, sent a money order to state minister Prasanna Ranaweera, who attacked a porter at Katunayake Airport.
Due to the lack of 300 rupees to give to the porter, a conflict had arisen between the minister and the porter and there had also been an assault.
Chairman Priyantha Vijaya Wickrama and the group of youths have arranged to send the money order of 300 rupees obtained from the Karandeniya main post office to the Speaker of the Parliament to give it to Minister Prasanna Ranaweera.
The chairman had said that he strongly condemns the attack of a porter at the airport by the minister recently, and that his foundation sent a money order of 300 rupees to the minister who did not have 300 rupees to give to the porter.
