A massive hartal will be held in the North and East on the 18th of this month, says TNA MP Shanakyan Rasamanikkam.
He said that the aim of this is to draw the government’s attention to the issues affecting the people of the North and East, including the failure to repeal the Prevention of Terrorism Act and the failure to resolve the land dispute of the people of the North and East.
He further said that the people are preparing to close all shops on that day and support the hartal to force the President to fulfill the promises made to the people of the North and East during the presidential election.
