The Moratumulla Police stated that a human head has been found in the Cooray Mawatha area of Moratumulla. The Moratumulla Police, which responded to a call on the 119 emergency number, found the human head on the bank of a river behind a carpentry shed, said Moratumulla Police OIC Dinesh Hettiarachchi.
Officers from the Moratumulla Police, the Police Special Task Force and the Mount Lavinia Crime Laboratory have arrived at the scene and conducted inspections. The owner of the shed saw this at around 8 am today (30) and informed the police.
The Acting Magistrate of the Moratuwa Magistrate’s Court arrived and conducted an on-site inspection.
The Moratumulla Police say that the human head was badly damaged and had been eaten by animals.
