A group of Indian representatives are coming to rescue Indian fishermen imprisoned in Sri Lanka.

It is reported that a five-member Indian delegation is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka to meet Indian fishermen detained in Sri Lankan prisons and work towards their immediate release.

According to Indian media reports, a five-member group, including the president of the Traditional Indian Fishermen’s Welfare Association of Rameshwaram, V.P. Sesuraja, is scheduled to fly from Tiruchi to Colombo.

It is also reported that they plan to meet the Sri Lankan Fisheries Minister and request the release of the imprisoned fishermen.
