UNICEF says more than 275,000 children have been affected by the impact of Cyclone Ditva. Its Resident Representative Emma Brigham says she is deeply concerned about the damage the cyclone has caused to children.
UNICEF is working with the Sri Lankan government to provide emergency relief and life-saving services to children, she says. In addition, UNICEF hopes to provide emergency education kits to children in the hardest-hit districts, she says.
