The National Water Supply and Drainage Board says that water supply to Colombo and several areas around it will be suspended for 24 hours from 8.00 pm today (03) to 8.00 pm tomorrow (04).
The board states that this water cut is being carried out due to essential maintenance work at the Ambatale Water Treatment Plant.
Accordingly, water supply is scheduled to be suspended in the following areas: Nugegoda, Kohuwala, Dehiwala, Mount Lavinia, Ratmalana, Moratuwa, Rawathawatta, Soysapura, Angulana, Indibedda, Katubedda, Kaldemulla, Modara, Koralawella, Egodauyana and Katukurunda.
In addition, the following areas will also be affected by this water cut: Sethsiripaya, Himbutana, Udumulla Road, Maligagodella, Bank Junction Road, W.A. Silva Mawatha, Havelock Road, Kalyani Road, Colombo 06, Hospital Roundabout Road, Jayanthi Mawatha and Shanthi Mawatha.
