It is reported that 11 bodies have been found in the Walapane Regional Hospital that died in the landslide.
Commenting on this, Mailagasthanne Dhammadinna Thero said that relief teams are unable to reach Walapane as all the main roads and side roads entering the Walapane area have been washed away. Therefore, the responsible parties should intervene and provide the necessary facilities to the hospital, otherwise the people trapped there may face a serious health crisis.
The Thero said that there is no telephone and electricity power in the Walapane area, and accordingly, he came on foot to provide information about his area to the country and provided this information through social media.
He praised the efforts of the security forces and said that the security forces have already begun efforts to restore the roads leading to the Walapane area.
