Air Seychelles starts flights to Sri Lanka.

Air Seychelles officially announces the launch of a new service to Colombo.

Air Seychelles Acting Chief Executive Officer Sandy Benoitton says that at the beginning, two flights per week will be operated from Mahe, the capital of Seychelles, to Colombo, and depending on passenger demand, it may be increased in the future.

The new service will be implemented from June 20. Flights from Mahe to Colombo with code number HM 262 will be operated on Tuesday and Saturday nights. Return flights will operate on Wednesday and Sunday mornings and will operate under code number HM 263. Airbus A320neo aircraft with 12 seats in business class and 156 seats in economy class will be used for this service. Air Seychelles already operates international services to India, Johannesburg, Mauritius, Mumbai and Tel Aviv in Israel.

“We are very excited about this opportunity to connect Seychelles with Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka is a destination with great tourism, medical and business opportunities that will benefit all Seychellois,” said Air Seychelles Chief Commercial Officer Charles Johnson, commenting on the new airline.

The new service will give Air Seychelles passengers direct access to more than 20 destinations across Asia and Australia, including Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Melbourne, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo, as well as various destinations in India and Bangladesh, added Air Seychelles’ Chief Commercial Officer.
