Nuwara Eliya today released a special commemorative stamp and first day cover for Sita Eliya Sita Temple. Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena, Indian High Commissioner Gopal Bhagle and many dignitaries attended the event. The Prime Minister and dignitaries also joined in laying the foundation stone for a meditation center to be built in the Sita Temple premises.
The Sita Temple in Sita Eliya is a place that attracts Indian tourists because of its connection with the legend of Rama Ravana. By increasing its facilities, the government aims to attract Indian tourists as soon as possible.
