The appeal filed by Shashi Weerawansa wife of former Minister Wimal Weerawansa against her conviction and two-year prison sentence for the possession of an irregular passport, was taken up today.
The Supreme Court ordered that the case be called again on November 18 for further consideration.
The matter was heard before a three-judge Supreme Court bench comprising Justices Preethi Padman Surasena, Achala Wengappuli, and Gihan Kulatunga.
