It is reported that Yoshitha Rajapaksa, son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, received approximately Rs. 5,150,626 in salary during his service in the Sri Lanka Navy.
This was confirmed today through testimony provided by a naval officer during the hearing of a case filed against Yoshitha Rajapaksa in the Colombo High Court under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
The witness further clarified that this amount represents only the basic salary payments made during Yoshitha Rajapaksa’s period of service and does not include any additional allowances.
The trial is ongoing.
