The Sri Lanka team has been fined 15% of their match fee for failing to complete their overs within the allotted time during the first ODI against England at Chester-le-Street.
ICC Match Referee Jeff Crowe imposed the fine after determining that the Sri Lanka team was three overs behind schedule, even after accounting for time allowances.
This action was taken under Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct, which relates to minimum over-rate violations.
