Namal Rajapaksa, the National Organizer of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) and a Member of Parliament—who is currently in remand custody over allegations of accepting bribes in connection with the Airbus deal—has been further remanded until September 30.
Although the Colombo Magistrate’s Court was scheduled to deliver its ruling on Namal Rajapaksa’s bail application today, the Magistrate announced that the order would instead be delivered on September 30.
