The National Dengue Control Unit reports that the number of dengue-related deaths so far this year has risen to 75. According to their data, the total number of recorded dengue cases stands at 98,616, with a fatality rate of 0.076%.
The unit notes that 52.62% of all cases were reported from the Western Province, while the Southern Province recorded the second-highest number of cases, totaling 14,209.
