Businessman Thilak Weerasinghe, the father-in-law of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna’s national organizer Namal Rajapaksa, who is currently in remand custody, denies the rumor that his daughter, Limini Weerasinghe, is preparing to enter active politics.
In a conversation with the Truth with Chamuditha YouTube channel, he says that Limini’s role at the moment should not be to step onto the political stage, but to look after the needs of her husband and children as a mother and wife.
However, he states that he has no idea whether Limini will take the stage or not at the Podujana Peramuna rally scheduled to be held in Anuradhapura on September 12th, and that he does not think it is at all appropriate to do so given the current situation.
