IGP Priyantha Weerasuriya said that efforts will be made to bring back 73 organized criminals who have fled Sri Lanka and are hiding abroad, and that international red warrants have been issued for this purpose.
He also said that it is believed that nearly 100 more criminals are abroad, and that the police are already receiving very good international support to arrest them.
He said that he joined the police service with the readiness to face any challenge, and therefore there is no need to fear any party.
