Sri Lanka’s first nuclear power plant is poised for construction.

According to the report, the initial negotiations for the establishment of a nuclear power plant in Sri Lanka have commenced. Russian representatives are slated to visit Sri Lanka during the months of September and October for the relevant activities.

Levan Jagarian, the Russian Ambassador to Sri Lanka, expressed hope for a positive outcome. The country’s Atomic Energy Corporation, Rosatom, has outlined plans to construct a nuclear power plant in Sri Lanka. Despite delays in reaching a preliminary agreement, the agreement was eventually signed in Russia.
