The Colombo High Court has sentenced two former police officers and a civilian to rigorous imprisonment for robbing a restaurant in Dehiwala in 2008. The verdict was given by Colombo High Court Judge Rashmi Singappuli after a lengthy trial.
The judge sentenced a civilian convicted of the charges to 5 years of rigorous imprisonment. The judge also sentenced two former police officers to 3 years of rigorous imprisonment each.
