Sources say that the Cabinet has approved the proposal to extend the retirement age of Supreme Court judges at the Cabinet meeting held today (27).
The government is planning to extend the retirement age of Court of Appeal and Supreme Court judges, which are set at 63 and 65 years respectively under the Constitution of Sri Lanka, by another two years through a constitutional amendment.
