Lawyer Rakhitha Rajapaksa, former Horana Electoral Organizer of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya Charith Abeysinghe and former Director of the Civil Service Authority Aruna Warunahandige have been ordered to be remanded.
The suspects were produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court this morning (17). Accordingly, the court ordered the three suspects to be remanded until the 28th.
The three were remanded after being arrested for accepting a bribe of crores of rupees in exchange for providing facilities to an organized drug lord named Nadun Chinthaka in prison.
