A cab and a three-wheeler in which Galle District Parliamentarian T. K. Jayasundara representing the National People’s Power Party collided have caused an accident.
The incident was reported at around 2.00 pm in the Dunghena area. The driver of the three-wheeler and an eight-year-old boy who was travelling in it were also injured and admitted to the Elpitiya Base Hospital.
The cab, which is said to belong to the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development, collided with a three-wheeler travelling from Pitigala. The driver of the cab and the vehicle have been taken into police custody in connection with the incident.
