Police sources say that four more bodies of the group who went missing while bathing in Deduru Oya in Kobeigane, Nikaweratiya have been found.
Accordingly, the death toll in the incident has increased to 6 so far. Search operations are underway for two more missing persons, while two others have been hospitalized.
A group of 7 people from Kadawatha who had come to a relative’s house in Kobeigane, and another group of 15 people from the relative’s house had gone to Deduru Oya for bathing. The police said that the accidents occurred there.
